On renewal, they provided a quote and then made contact via a phone call. Because the premium seemed high and given the current climate I requested they review the costs with the insurance company and revert back, In the mean time I would investigate alternative cover.
I obtained alternative quotes but the Cover Group did not get back to me before the insurance expired.
I rang them and made contact and it transpired that the representative I had been speaking with had been away, and no one else had taken over. They provided a slightly improved quote (based on removal of their markup etc) which was only slightly higher than my independent quotes. For expediency and short term convenience I stayed with the Cover Group. Next year I will be more proactive. In their defence, the representative I finally dealt with (Lesley) was most helpful and accommodated the changes I needed to the policy. Had he been the first contact things may have been smoother.
I would have no hesitation in approaching them again next year.
